our Pink-It tapes are cut in six foot lengths, and then taped together
and rolled on a cardboard tube for your convenience.
We stock
several colors of Solartex and Nelson Hobby’s Lite Fab and we can
cut Pink-It from any color available. The most popular color being
“natural” for those modelers wanting to paint their model. Another
benefit from using Pink-It finishing tapes is the fact that we do
cut the different colors. You can actually cover your model, apply
stitching then Pink-It finishing tapes and never have to paint! Although
I do very highly recommend that you apply a clear coat after applying
the Pink-It tapes. This will do two very positive things for you,
first it will seal the fabric and make your plane much easier to clean,
and secondly it will seal the tiny little pinked edges and keep you
from “lifting” one while cleaning your plane.
We have also started
cutting straight edge finishing tapes to meet the needs of modelers.Nelson’s Lite Fab and Solartex will tear straight and you as a modeler
can certainly “rip” your own straight edge tapes, but if you prefer,
we can cut and package them for you.
**Plus we are now cutting
“silver dollar” patches**
These are small round pinked edge patches
that are applied to the areas that have an exit or attachment point.
Example would be where the pull cables exit the fuselage or strut
attachment points in wing.
